About Jackie Allen
Jackie grew up in a small town in central Illinois and has worked as a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor in Minnesota and Arizona since 2010. She completed her BA at Greenville College and her MA at Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies in Center City, Minnesota. She also acted as supervisor for interns at the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School and conducted group supervision. Most recently she completed her Certified Sex Addiction Therapist training and trained under Dr. Stephanie Carnes and Dr. Patrick Carnes.
Jackie worked for the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in Center City, Minnesota for 5 years. She worked as a Lead Therapist on the Healthcare Professional Unit and was promoted to Program Supervisor. In 2015, Jackie made the move to Arizona to further her career with the Claudia Black Young Adult Center Residential Program. She served as lead therapist for one year and was promoted to Clinical Director. In 2019, Jackie moved to the world-renown sex addiction treatment center, Gentle Path. She did considerable work with adult sex addicts and their spouses.
Currently Jackie is in private practice in Scottsdale as a LISAC and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). Prior to this she was affiliated with Gentle Path at the Meadows in Wickenburg, AZ. Her practice is limited to the field of substance abuse, codependency, sexual addiction treatment including the treatment of sex addicts, as well as their partners.
She received her CSAT certification through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. She is trauma informed, Post Induction Trained (Meadows Model), and is currently working towards her certification for Certified Partner Trauma Therapist and Emotion- Focused Therapy.
